Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a challenging journey both for the patient and for their family members, leading to significant emotional changes in the lives of these individuals. Understanding aspects related to this challenge, as well as pharmacological tools and the role of the pharmaceutical professional in this condition, is of great relevance. Furthermore, it is necessary to fully understand all the benefits and harms that cannabidiol may present. Collaboration among healthcare professionals, researchers, and affected patients is essential to ensure effective and accessible interventions for all patients with an appropriate profile for treatment. The main objective of this study is to investigate pharmacological therapies and the role of the pharmacist in treatment. The bibliographic research conducted involved a literature review that sought relevant articles related to the topic of ASD and the pharmacological therapy used in the treatment of this condition.
