CRIME ORGANIZADO NO BRASIL: ESTUDO DA ATUAÇÃO DO COMANDO VERMELHO (CV) E PRIMEIRO COMANDO DA CAPITAL (PCC)

Abstract

The objective of this study was to carry out a detailed analysis of the origin, definition and structure of criminal organizations. Over the years, organized crime has strengthened and expanded its power both in Brazil and in the world, leading the State to seek legal resources to face these groups. To better understand the complexity of their training, it is essential to carry out a comprehensive analysis of these criminal entities and the impact they have on society. The study also addresses the main legislative rules created by the Legislative Branch to define and combat organized crime in the country. This research uses a quali-quantitative approach to investigate criminal organizations, focusing on the complexities and differences between the Red Command and the First Command of the Capital, and adopts an explanatory methodology and a bibliographic review. The conclusions of this study highlight the urgency of dealing with the issue of security in Brazil seriously, given its relevance in various spheres of social life. Finally, the research will highlight the mechanisms and normative evolution implemented by the State to combat organized crime. In addition, suggestions for improvements and analyses of the effectiveness of these legal provisions in the fight against organized crime will be presented.
