dc.description.abstract	The study aims to understand the challenges related to the protection of women who are victims of domestic violence, starting from an analysis of the history and significance of the Maria da Penha Law as a fundamental milestone in the fight against this type of violence. The research also addresses the discussion of the instruments provided by Restorative Justice and the Maria da Penha Patrol, assessing their role in promoting greater safety and guaranteeing the rights of victims. In addition, the study seeks to identify and propose solutions to the difficulties faced in the implementation of these protection measures. In this way, it intends to contribute to the strengthening of public policies and coping strategies, fostering reflections that may help improve assistance and support for women in situations of domestic violence. The study also aims to highlight how domestic violence goes beyond the individual dimension and constitutes a social problem that requires integrated and effective responses. By observing the role of legislation and institutional practices, it becomes possible to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. Thus, in addition to discussing legal and institutional mechanisms, it is essential to reflect on strategies for women’s empowerment and social awareness, in order to ensure not only immediate protection but also the construction of conditions for a life free from violence. Regarding the choice of research method, a deductive approach was adopted, using exploratory research in relation to the objectives, qualitative research regarding the approach, and bibliographic research concerning the procedures.	pt_BR

dc.description.resumo	O estudo tem como finalidade compreender os desafios relacionados à proteção das mulheres vítimas de violência doméstica, partindo da análise do histórico e da importância da Lei Maria da Penha como marco fundamental na luta contra esse tipo de violência. A investigação também contempla a discussão sobre os instrumentos disponibilizados pela Justiça Restaurativa e pela Patrulha Maria da Penha, avaliando seu papel na promoção de maior segurança e garantia de direitos às vítimas. Além disso, a pesquisa busca identificar e propor soluções para as dificuldades enfrentadas na efetivação dessas medidas de proteção. Dessa forma, pretende-se contribuir para o fortalecimento das políticas públicas e estratégias de enfrentamento, promovendo reflexões que possam auxiliar na melhoria da assistência e no acolhimento às mulheres em situação de violência doméstica. O estudo também se propõe a evidenciar como a violência doméstica ultrapassa a dimensão individual e se configura como um problema social que exige respostas integradas e eficazes. Ao observar o papel da legislação e das práticas institucionais, torna-se possível identificar falhas e oportunidades de aprimoramento. Assim, além de discutir os mecanismos jurídicos e institucionais, torna-se imprescindível refletir sobre estratégias de empoderamento das mulheres e de conscientização social, de modo a garantir não apenas a proteção imediata, mas também a construção de condições para uma vida livre de violência. Com relação a escolha do método de pesquisa foi utilizado o percurso dedutivo, optando-se pela pesquisa exploratória com relação aos objetivos, pesquisa qualitativa com relação à abordagem da pesquisa, e bibliográfica com relação aos procedimentos.	pt_BR
